Richard Drewyor
Richard Drewyor, a resident of Alabama, realized that he was an artist at the age of 5 when he visited Lascaux and noticed that the paintings there were similar to his. He creates artworks in the painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, video, mixed media, and performance mediums. His artistic style(s) can be categorized as abstract, expressionism, conceptual, impressionism, process, surrealism, action, minimalism, color field, or a combination of two or more of each.
Drewyor’s artistic talent grew as a result of his active imagination, of living in many cities, and of traveling through many countries during his early childhood. He was influenced by the many experiences he encountered as well as the numerous art galleries he visited.
