I will paint, draw, or write my initials (my art signature) 5
Million times on a variety of media. [Why?] For art. To make
art. To challenge myself to complete it. I anticipate massive
boredom with this project and I want to see how I overcome this
boredom. How will it show up in the art? How will painting my
signature over and over affect the overall image? What else will
I discover?
This project is visual and performance. I am signing my initials
(my art signature) over and over continuously for as long as
I can. I am mimicking the actions of a machine. Will this make
me a machine?
I plan to do this work continuously for 8 hours a day; 5 days
a week; 50 weeks a year; 10 to 20 years.
